ACBB establishes World Congress programming

The Brazilian Brahman Breeders Association (ACBB), have already set the World’s Congress schedule, that  should bring around  three thousand people to Uberaba from October  17th. through 24th. Participants from 16 different countries have already confirm their presence at the event.

Lectures are among the congress’s highlights .On the 20th., the brazilian ex-Agriculture Minister , Roberto Rodrigues, will be opening the conference followed by a reception at the Romulo Kardek Convention Center at 21:30h. On 21st.,the Principal Oficial  for Home  Production and Health FAO’s Regional Office, for Latin  America and Caribbean, Tito Diaz, will speak on “FAO’s population growth x demand for food x global warming overview”.

Then, Jim Sanders will speak of “The performance of Brahman race on global meat production”. The congress will also bring lectures of Brahman breeding benefits, from speakers of Colombia, Mexico, Australia and Brazil. Still during the congress official program, there will be scientific and technical papers developed, from all over the world, about the Brahman race, at the right side of the official platform. These works will be selected by the Scientific Committee, and the best six, will be awarded.

“Farm tours” will also be another attraction on the congress, where visitors get to visit and know the main insemination centers and  Brahman Breeders farms around Uberaba.

Through the project entitled “Brahman Academy”, there will be also a special program for the Agronomy, Veterinary and Zootechny trainees, where technical speeches are provided on October  20th.,21st. and 22nd., followed by fellowship lunches, at the ABCZ Tattersal.

The animals will be judged at the “Torres Homem Rodrigues da Cunha” judging floor. Jim Willians, from the V8 Ranch, Texas - U.S.A., one of the greatest experts of the Brahman race in the world, will be the judge. But the race won’t show only your evolution on the judging floor.

During the products fair, that will happen between October 18th. through 23rd., we will dispose inputs and  genetic material providers main companies as well as the “Live stands” from the countrie’s main Brahman breeders farms, where they can make great businesses.

Great businesses can also happen during the three auctions at the congress. On October 21st.,  at 20hs, is the Elite Animals auction, at the RKC Convention Center. On October 22nd., at 20hs, is the Genetic Material auction, also at the RKC Convention Center. Closing “trim”, on the 23rd.,at 13hs., is the Proven Bulls auction, at the ABCZ Tattersal. All three auctions will be transmitted live from the Terraviva Channel.

On October 23rd. starting at 20h, begins the congress’s closing party. During the closing, there will be a show, and in sequence, the Congress flag’s transmission to Panama, next country hosting the event.

The Congress will have the Dow AgroSciences support, the event official sponsor, the Brazilian Zebu Breeders Association (ABCZ) and The syndicate Brazilian Cattle Genetics.
