We at Caballo Rojo Ranch believe that the cattle "business" has always been about beef production...and because it is a "business", its focus is still about the most efficient and economical methods of producing beef as a product. As seed stock producers, our program is designed to help you meet those goals.

We breed our cattle intensely to magnify the genetic traits that produce top quality.
In other words, we concentrate those highly desireable traits.

How do we achieve this predictability?

Often times our cattle are double bred sons, daughters, grandsons, and granddaughters of some of the leading bloodlines in the Brahman Breed. Bloodlines that are proven in the show pen, and most of all where it really counts, in your beef production program and ultimately the market place. When you inject our concentrated genetics into your program we want the outcome to be very predictable.

Today, every breeder needs fertile, functional cattle with good dispositions and structural soundness.These qualities have been bred into our cattle for years. Our endeavor is to improve on what we have and make the outcome more predictable for you, the consumer. We really believe that quantity mean very little, whereas quality means everything! This is our pledge to you, our customer...When you visit OUR ranch you will see the best we have to offer.

Lastly, we are not going to change. Recently a special visitor to our ranch - who is very experienced in our industry - made reference to our main herd as "old style cattle". We were not sure whether we liked the reference until he elaborated. "This is how cattle used to be bred... thick with a moderate frame."
I asked what a "new style cow" looked like. After evaluating his response I assure you that we are very proud to offer you our "old style cattle". Today the world's beef producers desire moderate framed dams and sires that reproduce themselves as much as possible.
