Glen Rose Gets Justa Little Twisted

Stampede Derby is taken by Justa Little Twisted March 2005 in Glenrose, TX.
Glen Rose attracted some big numbers this year for the annual Stampede
with an added derby on the books. The dirt flew for three days this year
with the 397 entires spinning and sliding for payouts
totaling over $10,000 in payouts. Justa Little Twisted and Jordan Larson earned top prize in the
Open Derby for owner Victoria Lambert, with a score of 147.5 for a
payout of 806.80. Larson says the Dun it with a twist mare’s best attribute
is that she is”…a huge stopper.” After the Stampede win, Lambert
rode the mare at the NRBC and did well in the first go. Justa Little Twisted took home $2800.00

...Justa Little Twisted and Victoria Lambert take home the Reserve Championship in the Intermediate Non Pro class at the 2005 Stampede Classic, held in Glenrose, Texas.

Justa Little Twisted and Lambert Lead the NRBC Limited Non-Pro
After a hard 216.5 point run Justa Little Twisted topped the 2005 NRBC Limited Non-Pro Preliminaries
The 2005 National Reining Breeders Classic kicked off Tuesday, April 19, with the Non Pro Classic Preliminaries.
Victoria Lambert, Hempstead, Texas, took first place in the Limited Non Pro Preliminaries riding Justa Little Twisted (Dun It With A Twist x Buco Little Bit).
The duo marked a 216.5 in the pattern and earned $2800.00 for a 1st , 4th and 6th place finish (respectively) in the first go of the Limited Non Pro,
Intermediate Non Pro, and the Non Pro.

NRHA Derby Open
Commandalena and Todd Crawford took command during the 2005 NRHA Open class. Scoring a 223.5 Memorable Affair and Jordan Larson took home the Reserve Championship with a 222.5.

Custom Cruisin Time Wins the 2005 Reining Sparktacular Open Derby
With an impressive 225-point run Custom Cruisin Time
topped the Open Derby at the First Annual Reining Sparktacular Derby.
At the first annual Sparktacular show the dirt flew and the stars in
the reining horse industry were all out in force. With a very impressive
list of who's who in the reining world, Tim McQuay, Dell Hendricks,
Tom McCutcheon just to name a few. With great runs and tough competition
Jordan Larson, Whitesboro, Texas, entered the arena as the last horse in a
very intense class. With a stunning run that was truly flawless, Larson
manoeuvred the 4 year old Custom Crome mare, Custom Cruisin Time to a score of 225. With fast, precise circles and impressive spins and powerful stops, Custom Cruisin Time picked up the championship in the Open Derby. “She’s a wonderful mare; who always gives it her all,”
Jordan said of the mare by Custom Crome and out of Peppy Time Fifty.

Tejons Sugar Pine takes Reserve Championship
Victoria Lambert and Tejons Sugar Pine take the Reserve Championship at the Sandhill Slide Non Pro and Intermediate Non Pro Futurity. Tejons Sugar Pine is out of Go Red Pine, a 2001 NRHA Open Futurity finalist.

Fiesta In The Park Open Maturity
Kentucky Horse park was the place to be for the 2005 Fiesta In The Park Reining. Hosting the Adequan®/United States Equestrian Federation Open Reining Championship, as well as the 4 Year Old Maturity, tops riders from all over the country made their way to the beautiful Kentucky horse park. The Four year old Maturity was won by Tom McCutcheon on Major Jesse, while Sam Smith took second place honors on Miss Brim Star. Custom Cruisin Time placed 6th in this class of great horses.

Tulsa Jim Glover Futurity
The 2005 Tulsa Jim Glover Futurity was certainly a great success. With great horses and riders competeing for $25,000 added in the open futurity one would expect some truly amazing runs. We were certainly not surprised that the field of 80 head of horses would have some outstanding scores. Tim McQuay won the class with a score of 223.5 on Great King Pine. Brian Bell put in an outstanding run on Lean With Hollywood for the second place finish, while Shawn Flarida took home third place honors on KR Lil Conquistador. Custom Nifty Nic, owned by Carl Lambert and ridden by Jordan Larson took home 6th place in this class and was the second high placing mare behind 5th place finisher, Starbucks Jewel.

2005 All American Quarter Horse Congress Open Futurity
At the 2005 All American Quarter Horse Congres in Columbus, Ohio, Jordan Larson made the Open Futurity Finals with Custom Nifty Nic. This pretty bay Custom Crome mare was second high scoring mare of the event.

Victoria Lambert and Tejons Sugar Pine make the Limited Non Pro and Intermediate Non Pro finals at the SWRHA Non Pro Futurity. This team finished 8th in the Limited Non Pro futurity.

Memorable Affair topped the $7,500-added Lil Ruf Peppy Open
October 28 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
The Southwest Reining Horse Association Futurity Show has a tradition
of having great Open reining competition and the 2005 edition of the event
was one more chapter in a reining history. After one very memorable
226-point run, Jordan Larson, Whitesboro, Texas, topped the $7,500-added
Lil Ruf Peppy Open October 28 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Jordan’s win came
with Victoria Lambert’s great 4-year-old mare, Memorable Affair.
The Open competition highlighted some of the best horses in the reining
industry and the list of entries read like a reining “Who’s Who”. Justin Mathison
on Starlights Slim owned by Larry and Leslie Woods of Guthrie, Oklahoma and
Craig Schmersal on Commanders Nic, a horse he owns with his wife, Ginger,
each marked a 225.5 to share the lead before Jordan took the stage in the
13-entry class. With fast, precise circles and huge, powerful stops,
Memorable Affair picked up the championship and a check for $3,038.“She’s perfect; she has more try than all of the other horses in the barn,”
Jordan said of the mare by Major Vaquero and out of Coronas Affair.
“She takes her job really seriously. I’ve ridden lots of horses and not
all of them go in there and have the desire that she has.”
