2008 World Brahman Congress Elite Sale

In the Grand Ballroom of the Renaissance Worthington Hotel on May 23, the World Brahman Congress Sale went off with a bang, quite literally! Dallas cowboy cheerleaders, smoke machines and a confetti cannon set the mood for this prestigious sale.

At the pre sale brunch, attendees could meet with the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders, get autographs and have photos taken.

The sale started at noon, after a dance from the cheerleaders. The ring men were announced as though they were football players entering the tunnel before a game. The ring men taking bids were E.C. Larkin, Charlie Wood, Steven Kahla, Ralph Means, Wade Perks, Scott Farmer, Joe Brockett and Brandon Cutrer.

All in all, it was an elaborate production accompanied by great food and drinks.
Twenty-eight lots were auctioned with a sale average of $10,276.78.

The high selling lot was Lady H Lanel Manso 911/6, consigned by Heritage Cattle Company and purchased by the Underwood Ranch of Sealy, Texas.

The sale’s volume buyer was Bennett Farms of Choudrant, Louisiana.

Sale buyers were from 5 different countries – Australia, Mexico, Panama, Venezuela and the United States. (Numbers from the WBC Sale provided to us by the ABBA)
