+JDH Atari Manso 601/1 was bred by Ed Cullers in 1981 while he was managing the Koonce-Cullers Division at JD Hudgins.

For nearly ten years + Atari 601/1 held the record at JD Hudgins for winning more championships than any other bull in prior years.  When +JDH Atari Manso 601/1 was a three year old he won the most coveted trophy for Brahman Breeders, the International Grand Champion Award.

Following this major feat, Ed sold several breeding interests and semen shares in +JDH Atari Manso 601/1. One of the most noteworthy transactions, was when a breeding interest was sold to Sloan Williams of the V8 Ranch.  Sloan and his son Jim immediately began using the +Atari 601/1 semen within their cowherd.

In only a short period of time the V8 ranch produced + Mr. V8 202/3, a son of  +JDH Atari Manso 601/1.

To this day +Mr V8 202/3 is the only bull in the history of the American Brahman Breeder's Association to have won Two National Grand Champions and Three International Grand Champions.

Other standout sons sired by +JDH Atari Manso 601/1 include JDH Coronel Manso 38/8,  and JDH Odyssey Manso 479/2.

Progeny from +Atari 601/1 can be found in Thailand, Australia, Africa, Brasil, Central and South America.
